Information you submit. This can include your name, email address and message when you use the contact form; your email when you join the newsletter or merch waitlist; and anything you submit through article, review or other contribution forms.

Account information. If you sign in with Google for community features, NCN receives the account information made available for authentication, which can include your Google account ID, name, email address and profile picture.

Community content. Forum threads, replies, ratings, comments and similar contributions may be stored together with the account information needed to operate and moderate those features.

Technical information. Our hosting and service providers may process information such as IP address, browser/device information, request logs and error or performance data needed to keep the site secure and working.

We use information to provide the feature you asked for, respond to enquiries, operate sign-in and community features, send newsletters or launch updates you requested, moderate user submissions, prevent abuse, troubleshoot the site and improve NCN.

We do not sell your personal information to advertisers. If NCN uses advertising services, those services may process data under their own policies as described below.

Content you intentionally publish to public areas — such as a forum post or comment — may be visible to anyone visiting the site. Please do not post information you want to keep private.

NCN uses or links to third-party services, which can include Google for sign-in, YouTube and podcast platforms for media, hosting and storage providers, email delivery services, social networks and other services needed to run the site. Those companies process data under their own privacy terms.

Following a link to an external website takes you outside NCN. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external websites.

NCN may use cookies or browser storage where needed for sign-in, security, preferences and basic site functionality. Third-party media or services may also set or read cookies when you interact with them.

If advertising or additional analytics are enabled, those tools may use cookies or similar technologies to measure performance or serve ads. Where a consent choice is required, the site should present that choice before using non-essential technologies.

NCN may use Google AdSense or another advertising provider. Advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies subject to their own policies and any consent choices that apply.

Some product or retailer links may be affiliate links. Using an affiliate link does not give the retailer access to your NCN account or private community data through us.

We keep information for as long as it is reasonably needed to provide the relevant feature, maintain records, deal with moderation or security issues, or meet legal obligations. Different types of information may be kept for different periods.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe option provided with them where available. You can also ask us about personal information associated with you, or request correction or deletion where appropriate.

To make a privacy request, use the Contact page and choose the option that best fits your enquiry. We may need enough information to verify that the request relates to you.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to NCN without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review it.

We may update this Privacy Policy as NCN changes. When we make a meaningful update, we will change the date shown at the top of this page.
